starring the understudy cast of glee...

Yesterday, Necessary Conversation headed to the Dickens Fair to film our Christmas episode, so stay tuned for that nonsense. But first, I did double duty and now offer you today's SFGate Tourist Trapped, the Great Dickens Christmas Fair.

Boy, the angry commenters are out in force over at SFGateLand again. My favorite is the one who dresses up her children to go to the Dickens Fair and goes by the nickname "Pillsy" with a gel capsule as her avatar. You be careful, girl, you know how crazy those frustrated thespians can get.

It's too bad the photos came out looking like shite. It is tough lighting there, maybe next time you can get someone who knows how to use a camera in tough conditions, and how to do color correction in post processing.

What set people off was her condescending attitude. She comes off as the girl not pretty enough to be popular, nor smart enough to be a nerd trying to make the pretty girls like her by making fun of the weirdos.

@ Larry Colen (and twice, no less!)

Quite an apt last name, I dare say. Was the "E" substituted for an "O" at Ellis Island?

Actually Anonymous (what's the matter, don't have the balls to use your real name?) the 'h' was changed to an 'l' by my grandfather, no relation to the Portugee that is credited with discovering America.

I can guarantee you I've heard the jokes about my last name as often as I'm sure that Beth has heard them about hers.

Or were referring to the fact that the colon is immediately above the asshole? Which despite the misspelling seems to be the case in this thread as well.
