i love crazies...

I spent most of the day yesterday getting mocked by the men in my life. My only respite from Big Chris doing a comedy routine on the grand scale of my cranium was this storefront in Noe Valley. I’m going to take a wild guess and say that I’m probably a Liberal Loony. For those out of the right wing loop, San Francisco’s Army Street was renamed Cesar Chavez, after the admired immigrant rights leader. Racists have a big problem with this, and this guy has chosen to dedicate his real estate office storefront into an artistic display of conservatism. I like the “English Spoken Here” and the Oliver North buttons. Also, the weathered photo of Nancy Reagan pretty much made my day...

Finally, Chris and I had to get this picture of Mikey, sitting at a bar trying not to stare at the guy with the serious dreads having a martini with a beer back. Nice. That's my kind of Rastafarian...

Actually Chavez was a labor organizer who fought AGAINST illegal immigration. He and his Farm Workers' Union routinely called INS on illegal immigrants because they made it more difficult to organize the union. Just sayin...

Oh, well then wouldn't you and your right wing extremeist cronies love him? Maybe, you could specialize in labor issues and do pro-bono work for all of the poor white people who want to clean houses and pick strawberries but can't because aliens are taking all the good jobs...

I'm not right wing. I'm liberal. I just know how to read and get history straight. Or is it liberal to misrepresent history? Or maybe it's more liberal and respectful of Chavez' legacy to call him an "immigrant rights" hero instead of what he was, a MIGRANT farm worker hero?

Or is unionizing a right wing thing now? Sorry, didn't get the memo on that.

I love it when we argue. It reminds me of train trips to Santa Barbara. Keep up your rant, while you press the little buzzer to request another glass of Pinot from the help as we ride by the shanty towns...

It's hard to argue with someone who has no concept of logic. Hint: It isn't an argument when you don't address any of the topics at hand, but merely go with ad hominem attacks as a way to deflect attention away from a simple error in your post. For all your "right wing" insults, it seems you've learned a lot from the gang. Your "arguing" style comes straight from Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly, et al.

Maybe you should just stick to what you do best: writing funny stories about drinking and obsessing about Gavin Newsom. Leave the historical references to people who actually got an education.

I find it rather disturbing that you equate pointing out a historical fact as some kind of right-wing extremism. I'm a socialist, and I'm for open borders. I'm also for education. I suggest you get one if you want to snag Newsom. I doubt a wife completely ignorant as to CA history would be a great political move for him.

I'm getting mad. Do you know this person, Spots?

Oh relax. It's just MOI. This is his way of showing how much he cares. I always enjoy his rants, but probably because I can hear him saying it. Plus, he's right. I have no idea what the fuck that Chavez dude did. I just know he wandered around fields in a cowboy hat with lots of people following him around.
And as for you, RyCrisp, I love how you pride yourself on your local historical knowledge. Bob would be so proud. I guess I didn't mean argue. Apparently, I mean calling me stupid while being obviously obsessed with every letter I type...

I didn't call you stupid. I said "ignorant." There's a big difference.

At any rate, now you DO know what Chavez did, so my work here is done.
